I hired Cummins Custom Upholstery to re-cover my grandmother's old 'Judy" Doll (seamstress mannequin), and they did a fantastic job. The fabric choices were practically endless and the timeline was very reasonable.The finished product was by far the best part of the whole process! It was beyond my expectations and looked better than the magazine picture I gave them as reference.This item has always had sentimental value to me, but never looked that great, now that it has been re-covered by Cummins Custom Upholstery, I show it off to everyone who comes into my house. Mr. Cummins the Upholsterer was exceptional!I had a chair that looked dead and in need of some tender loving care. After a long and hard search, I came across Mr. Cummins' Ad in the phone book. I called him and he gave me a quick lesson in Upholstery to see if it was worth it. After determining it was worth saving, he came over the next day to give me a quote. Mr. Cummins brought samples and quickly gave me a great offer.After we accepted the offer he took my chair during that same visit. The work was done in less time then he promised and the chair looked gorgeous!!! We're going to enjoy it for many years to come. The quality of his workmanship was second to none! He's a real pro! In the summer of 2010 we decided to have a couch, club chair and wing back chair re-upholstered. These pieces were originally high quality, however the fabric had torn in places. Nothing lasts forever...We contacted a number of upholsterers for estimates. We found some of these to be less than reputable, some leaving us questioning their competence, and others leaving us feeling that we were about to be taken advantage of.We then had the fortune of finding Cummins Custom Upholstery. The owner, Darren, met with us in our home and was very straight forward about what we could expect. He spent considerable time with us making sure we were happy with our fabric choices, and even assisted us in avoiding some costly mistakes.Darren took our 3 pieces to his shop and had them ready for us in a few weeks. This was exactly as promised, with no surprises.
